Is there any MP3/MP4/... Player that produces Surround sound?

old players produce stereo.but i remember a couple of years ago i was listening to a song by a Portable CD Player that were producing surround sound.it almost made me crazy.after that i had never a chance to listen to music via that kinda technology and quality.can you give me a Perfect name,trademark or somthing that can wake up my ears after years?
